He's a "rip out the jugular" kind of guy when he has the team to do it and, in my opinion, that's his best trait. This is because college kids are easily distracted and tend to lose their focus if things are coming relatively easy. Petrino's aggressive play calling will negate any chance that the players might let down their guards which, to me, seemed very common during the Nutt years. I look forward to more of this aggressive style from Petrino in this game and in future seasons.. This week's slides will look at the best and worst of the NBA, from Allen Iverson to Lebron James to the New York Knicks. It's always tough as a fan to watch a player prolong his career under the assumption that he still is what he used to be. I still remember Muhammad Ali taking a beating at the hands of Larry Holmes It got so bad that Holmes admitted to holding back punches Sad. The only athlete who ever truly walked away on top was Michael Jordan.
Here he hoping he gets picked up by a contender that convinces him to come off the bench. What a weapon he would be on most any contenders second squad!. We are blessed to have had some pretty amazing announcers come through Los Angeles. In no particular order we have heard our favorite teams games described to us by the likes of Dick Stockton, Chick Hearn, Bob Miller, Vin Scully and more.

Because of that all-star squad its easy at times to overlook the work of Ralph Lawler, the play-by-play announcer of the Los Angeles Clippers. Of course, it doesn't help that the team has never been consistently good. Ralph doesn't have the down home style of a Scully or the rapid-fire delivery that was Hearns; where those guys are smooth as butter Lawler is about as smooth as sand paper He is an acquired taste Unlike the team he covers, however, Lawler is consistent Consistently funny He is good for one quality quip a game. He and his partner Mike Smith shared this back-and-forth on the Clippers vs Grizzlies telecast on 11/18/2009. Mike Smith: "I just sit here and watch your mouth looking for an opportunity to say something" Ralph Lawler, without skipping a beat or taking a breath: "I'm sorry I gave you one." Classic Lawlerism. I never liked that the "World" Series only included teams from the USA. Now, I'm frustrated that the NBA (National Basketball Association) isn't the INBA (Inter-National Basketball Association).
