UW is 37 but has lost most of there games by just one score

They are both Quarterbacks, each share incredible speed, their arm strength is matched by few and the most important one of them, Locker and Stanback have played for the Washington Huskies.Stanback came to Washington in 2001 and was a freakish athlete the school had never had before He came in as 63, 190 pounds and ran a 4.4 forty time. Not bad for a Quarterback as most Quarterbacks are players with mediocre speed and make plays by throwing the ball. Stanbacks most notible year was 2006 when he went 4-1 as a starter and threw for 1325 yards and ten touchdowns with only three interceptions. Sadly the season was short lived as stanback went down with an injury in just his fifth game.

Stanback finished his Washington Career with 3868 yards passing, 22 Touchdowns and 12 interceptions, including 789 yards on the ground with 11 touchdowns. Isaiah Stanback also showed off his great leaping ability and hands at Washington with 12 receptions and 146 receiving yards. Yes he was a freakish athlete and but injuries destroyed his chance at taking Washington anywhere he went into the draft in 2007 and got drafted by Dallas but injuries kept him of the field and is now a Wide receiver. Its becoming clear Stanbacks role in the NFL will never be a large one due to injuries and just plain bad luck. In 2006 the Huskies recruited a 63 220 pound Quarterback out of Ferndale named Jake Locker. Locker was the seventh highest rated quarterback in the nation. Locker was instantly tagged as the savior of the Washington football program before he even put on a helmet or played a down on the field showing the pressure that was put on him.The pressure may have been unfair but it was there and locker had to deal with it to the best of his ability. Coming out of High School he was a talented scrambler with cannon of an arm.

The Washington coach Tyrone Willingham decided to redshirt which means if he did not take the field his freshman year he would still be a freshman in football the next year. When Isaiah Stanback got hurt there was a push by fans to get Locker on the field and save the season it did not happen. 2007 came and Locker was ready to run into the Pac-10 spotlight and he did. He won his first two games as a starter and nearly pulled the upset when Washington played USC who was ranked number one in the country.

Washington would only win 4 games but it was due to the lack of play by the defense. Locker would break the Pac-10 freshman rushing record and Quarterback rushing record as he would run for 986 yards. Locker sophomore season was shot down in the fourth game when he shattered his thumb on his throwing hand. Things went south for the Washington Huskies and they would go winless for the first time in school history. Locker has appeared to have things under control now including his inaccurate arm. UW is 3-7 but has lost most of there games by just one score. His great scrambling and running ability has been caged by the current Washington coach. Locker is now being talked about as being a top ten pick if he would go into the draft this year.
